Purposeful Gratitude by Athelda

There are so many voices that point out what's wrong and what you should fear. Few though reinforce the importance of being grateful for what's right and what's good.

It takes purposefulness to not only look towards those things. It takes purposefulness to recognize what you should be grateful for in this life.

Waking up in the morning, whether the sky is sunny or cloudy, is something that sparks gratefulness for me. When I see a bee flit from one flower to another or taste a sweet piece of fruit, I feel it. When I sip a delicious cup of coffee or hear the right song at the right time, I feel it.

Gratefulness doesn't have to focus on anything elaborate. After 2020, the simple things in life are those things. Our mindsets can be adjusted away from the negative and to the positive. It's a matter of intention...our personal and individual intention.

Embrace being grateful with a purpose.
